Hey! This is Paloma.
I was born and raised in Acapulco, Mexico, where I lived until I was sixteen. I have had the opportunity to live in several different places in Mexico and abroad ever since. I've lived in France, Greece and now in New York City. The opportunity to live in all these places and the people I've met along the way have profoundly inspired me and are an essential part of who I am as an artist.
WHEN I KNEW
I always knew in my heart I wanted to be an actress because I have an immense curiosity for new experiences; but the moment I decided I wanted to do it for the rest of my life was four years ago. I did an immerse summer intensive and felt a passion and eagerness to be better and dig deeper that I've never experience before with anything else. I was studying college at the moment and when I went back to Mexico for a couple of months, I never saw life the same way ever again. All I could think about in the meantime was how bad I wanted to leave everything behind to become an actress. And I eventually did, for that entire year I did everything in my power to move to New York and it wasn't easy at all, but somehow I made it happen and within a year I moved to New York to kick start this journey.
WHY I DO WHAT I DO
Playfulness has always been an essential part of my personality. I wasn't aware of how much that would benefit me as an actress until I started my proper training at The Atlantic Acting School. Storytelling is an enormous passion of mine but so is understanding human life. Through digging deep into scripts and characters, I've discovered so many things about life and myself so far and have so much more to discover still. My personal growth is in the core of my practice as an actor, both things go together and are equally important for me in my journey as an actress.
